Joshua L. Grimes, Esq. is an attorney and principal of his own firm, Grimes Law Offices, LLC based in Philadelphia. Mr. Grimes has a national practice focused on business and real estate law, as well as the association, nonprofit, meeting, and hospitality industries. He is a specialist in all matters relating meetings and conventions, as well as association & nonprofit governance. Mr. Grimes also has extensive experience with zoning matters.
Prior to establishing his law firm, Mr. Grimes served in the administration of Philadelphia Mayor Edward G. Rendell. Mayor Rendell appointed him to several City boards, including the Mayor’s Commission on Gambling, the Mayor’s Commission on Homelessness, the Mayor’s Hospitality Cabinet, the American Flag House & Betsy Ross Memorial, and the Emergency Medical Services Task Force. Mr. Grimes also served as counsel to the Philadelphia Historical Commission.
Mr. Grimes was appointed to the Board of Commissioners in June 2015, elected in November 2015, and re-elected in 2017. He previously served on the Township’s Zoning Hearing Board.
Mr. Grimes and his family have resided in Penn Valley since 1999. His wife Randi, a Penn Valley native, is teacher for the School District of Philadelphia. The Grimes’ have 2 sons: Andrew, a Lower Merion public schools graduate, attends the University of Pittsburgh; and Adam, a Harriton High School student.
