Commissioner Anna Durbin
Term Expires January 2022


Anna Durbin has served on the Lower Merion Township Board of Commissioners since January 6, 2014. She has lived in Ward 8, covering parts of South Ardmore and Wynnewood, for 35 years with her husband, Peter Goldberger. They raised three daughters who are all graduates of Lower Merion public schools.

Ms. Durbin was a Board member of the Ardmore Initiative from 2009 through 2013. She is a member of the Ardmore Business Association and is a Friend of Linwood Park.

As an attorney, Ms. Durbin has clerked for federal Judge Norma Shapiro; worked as an assistant federal public defender; and taught part-time as a lecturer at the Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research in the Law and Policy program. She worked for several small law firms before opening her own practice in Ardmore in 1994. She focuses on criminal defense in Federal and Pennsylvania courts. She is listed in Best Lawyers in America and as a SuperLawyer based on peer surveys.

Ms. Durbin grew up in Richland, Washington. She is a graduate of Stanford University and Yale Law School.
