In 2013 the Township upgraded the parking lot and access road in Ashbridge Park. Attendance and activity at the park has increased significantly since completion of a walking path around the park’s permieter and a new playground for children ages 2 to 12.
The parking lot was graded and paved increasing the parking lot’s capacity and efficiency. Conduit was laid for lighting in the future. The Montgomery Avenue access road was eliminated and all traffic entering and leaving the park is from the Airdale Road entrance which was also be improved. A Township's satellite material storage facilities are located in Ashbridge, so the entrance must be able to accommodate large trucks.
