Surplus / Auctions

When the Township has surplus property that is no longer needed, the Purchasing Division will sell the items through an online public auction such as www.govdeals.com.

Disposal of items or item lots with an estimated value exceeding $1,000 requires approval of the Board of Commissioners and advertisement in a local newspaper. The Township Manager has the authority to select the method of disposal for those items with an estimated value under $1,000.

Public auctions of vehicles and major equipment are usually conducted twice a year through J.J. Kane.
