Bid Openings

Unless otherwise stated in the Invitation for Bid, all formal bids are opened via PennBid.

The Chairperson of the Finance Committee, Township Secretary, Purchasing Agent or their designated representatives preside over the bid openings. Bids are opened and posted via PennBid. No decisions of award or rejections are made during the bid opening.

RFPs are generally not publicly opened but are received at the time and place as indicated in the Notice of Request for Proposal. A committee comprised of Township staff who have a general interest or expertise in the specific service that is being solicited will generally review and rank the proposals and may conduct interviews with the highest ranked proposers.
