Are you a new resident of Lower Merion Township? If so, welcome to your new home! Lower Merion is a diverse and historic township of about 23 square miles in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, bordering the great City of Philadelphia.
If you have not gotten it already, you will soon be receiving a New Resident Packet in your home mailbox. It will consist of hard copies of materials such a Welcome Letter, the Township's Annual Report (which comes in the form of an August-to-July full-color calendar), Fire and Police information, security alarm registration, a tax schedule, a recycling guide and calendar, and more. Below are digitized links (PDFs) to many of these materials.
For further, more up-to-date information, please also like the Township's Facebook page, and follow us on Twitter. You can sign up for email notifications of official Township news, meetings and events by clicking here.
If you have a "land line" phone number at your new address, you may already be subscribed to the Township's community alert portal (a call-out service called Blackboard Connect)--but if not, you can assign any or all of your household's cell phone numbers by clicking here. This valuable service, which also allows you to securely register for text messages and emails, alerts you to information pertaining to snow and other types of emergencies, as well as road closures, changes to trash and/or recycling schedules, and large Township-wide events.
Please explore this Township web site for much, much more information, including contact phone numbers and email addresses for the Township's staff and its elected Board of Commissioners. Hover over the "I Want To..." tab at the top of the web site for suggestions of information you may need, and use the Search bar for anything you cannot find quickly.
For questions or comments, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. And once again, welcome to Lower Merion!
