Are you a new resident of Lower Merion Township? If so, welcome to your new home! Lower Merion is a diverse and historic township of about 23 square miles in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, bordering the great City of Philadelphia.  

If you have not gotten it already, you will soon be receiving a New Resident Packet in your home mailbox. It will consist of hard copies of materials such a Welcome Letter, the Township's Annual Report (which comes in the form of an August-to-July full-color calendar), Fire and Police information, security alarm registration, a tax schedule, a recycling guide and calendar, and more. If you have a "land line" phone number at your new address, you may already be subscribed to the Township's community alert portal (a call-out service called Blackboard Connect)--but if not, you can assign any or all of your household's cell phone numbers by clicking here. This valuable service, which also allows you to securely register for text messages and emails, alerts you to information pertaining to snow and other types of emergencies, as well as road closures, changes to trash and/or recycling schedules, and large Township-wide events. 

The Township's mobile app, LM Report-It, allows residents to report and track non-emergency issues such as potholes, malfunctioning streetlights, and abandoned vehicles throughout the Township. You can download the app by clicking here. This service connects you with Township staff to address these issues and provides a platform for sharing and tracking the status of other requests being resolved across the Township.
