8. Private Roads under Snow Agreement
Throughout the Township there are many miles of road that are private, meaning they have never been dedicated to the Township. A petition and agreement for the plowing or salting of a private road may be presented to the Board of Commissioners for acceptance, and with the payment of a one time fee for registration, these agreements will remain in effect as long as the conditions set forth are maintained by the property owner of the road. In order for the agreement to be accepted, 100% of the owners must sign the petition. A sample of this agreement can be found in the back of this manual listed as Exhibit A. Also listed is a copy of the roads that were under snow agreement at the time of this writing, Exhibit B. This list will change from time to time and may continue to grow as new roads are accepted. The total list is not to be used as a final reference guide to roads under snow agreement.
