The Refuse Division's Recycling Collection is limited to the types of items listed below.

  • Aluminum Cans (please rinse)
    Examples: soda, juice & beer cans

  • Aluminum Foil

  • Aluminum Pie Plates

  • Steel/Tin Food & Beverage Cans (please rinse)
    Examples: soup, vegetable, fruit & dog and cat food cans

  • Paperboard and clear plastic Egg Cartons only.
    Please no Styrofoam egg cartons!
    Clear, Green & Brown Glass Bottles & Jars - please rinse
    Examples: food & beverage bottles & jars

  • Plastic marked "1" through "7" on bottom
    Recycling Symbols 1-7

  • Bottles, yogurt tubs, disposable cutlery and cups, meat trays, bakery shells
    Examples: soda, milk & detergent bottles

  • NOW ACCEPTED – Flexible Plastic packaging. 
    Examples: food & product pouches, chip bags, shrink wrap & overwrap, baby food & drink pouches, air pillows, bubble wrap, cereal bags, bread bags

  • NOW ACCEPTED – Aseptic and gable-top cartons
    Examples: milk cartons, juice cartons, soup and broth cartons, plantmilk cartons, juice boxes
  • Mixed Paper

  • Newspapers, notebooks and school paper (including spiral bound books)

  • soft and hardback books and textbooks

  • paper shopping bags

  • pet food bags (without plastic liners)

  • chipboard packaging (including nonperishable food boxes)

  • beer and soda cartons and six-pack packaging

  • cracker, cake and cereal boxes (without plastic pouches or inserts)

  • Corrugated cardboard

  • Cardboard boxes must be broken down to 4' x 4' x 12"
 DON’T Recycle
  • Heavily soiled food containers

  • Medicine containers

  • Styrofoam including packing 'peanuts', egg cartons and insulation

  • Aerosol Cans

  • Hangers

  • Scrap Metal

  • Clothes and textiles*

  • Any electronics – i.e. anything that plugs into a wall or has cords, batteries, or circuit boards

  • Glass cookware/bakeware

  • Ceramic dishes & mugs

  • Light bulbs

  • Plate & Window glass

  • Medical tubing

  • Motor Oil containers

  • Meat wraps

  • Outdoor carpet

  • Garden hoses


    *Clothes and textiles can’t be placed in recycling bins. However, they can be dropped off, free of charge, at the Township Recycling Center during normal business hours.
