Propane cylinders for gas grills and travel-trailers are not municipal solid waste and will not be picked up with curbside trash.  These cylinders will also not be accepted at any of the Household Hazardous Waste Collection programs in Montgomery County.

Residents may discard a propane cylinder at any authorized Propane Dealer, for which there may be a fee. Home improvement centers, Wal-Mart stores and U-Haul centers may have return programs. The following list includes several local dealers who accept propane cylinders:
