GENERAL REFUSE INFORMATION

Refuse is collected once a week between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. 

Refuse and recyclable containers placed for curbside collection may be put out no earlier than 7:00 p.m. on the night before and no later than 7:00 a.m. on the day of collection (or you could miss your collection); containers must be retrieved no later than 9:00 p.m. of the day of collection.

For Rear Yard Collection, driveways must be cleared of all vehicles on collection day and please, do not allow pets to run loose.

Containers for the storage of municipal waste shall have tight-fitting covers, which shall be kept in place at all times, and shall be placed between collection periods so as not to be visible from a street.

On the home page, use the Address Lookup to find your regular refuse and recycling collection day and the holiday collection day.

NOTE: All mattresses and box springs to be disposed of must be wrapped in a mattress disposal bag prior to being brought to the Koegel facility or wrapped prior to being picked up by Township staff by Special Refuse Collection Services.

Transfer Station at 1300 N. Woodbine Avenue hours are Monday through Friday 8am-3pm and Saturdays 9am-2:30pm. Recycling and brush drop off are at no cost to residents and trash is 14 cents per pound for Lower Merion residents. Proof of residency required.
