Sign up for the Lower Merion Police Department's Vacant House Program

This free service allows residents to notify the Police Department that their home will be unoccupied for greater than 48 hours. Please lock and secure all doors as officers will physically check them, this includes basement doors and windows. If you have an alarm system, please arm it.

Based on the information you provide, an officer will be assigned to conduct security inspections around your home while you are away. Your home will be checked at least once (for short term absences) and on a weekly basis for long term vacancies.

Should you return early/prior to the date provided or your return is delayed, please call 610-649-1000 to have the information updated.
