Home Security Assessment Program

The Lower Merion Police Department offers ALL Lower Merion residents a FREE home security survey.  The survey provides property owners with professional, targeted recommendations on safeguarding their properties against burglaries. 

Police officers from our Crime Prevention Unit will meet with citizens at their residence for a free home security survey.  The officer will evaluate existing security measures, identify potential areas of weakness, and make recommendations for security improvements.

How it works:

1. Request an appointment for a free, in-person assessment by calling the Crime Prevention Unit at 610-645-6240 or send an email to police@lowermerion.org.  Please provide the following information: name, address, phone number and preferred day and time for the assessment.
2. A member of the Crime Prevention Unit will respond to you with a suggested date and time for the assessment.
3. Meet with the assigned officer at your residence during the scheduled time.
4. The officer will evaluate existing security measures, identify potential areas of weakness, and make recommendations for security improvements.

Commercial Security Survey

The Lower Merion Police Department also is sponsoring a FREE business security survey.  ALL Lower Merion business are eligible for the program.  If interested, contact the Lower Merion Crime Prevention Unit at 610-645-6240.
