2026 POOL INFORMATION

Based on the current construction schedule of the new pool bathhouse, the Ardmore Pool will not be ready to open Memorial Day weekend.

We are currently projecting a mid-July opening, progress permitting. 

Registration for the Ardmore Ave Pool will remain closed until a definitive opening date can be determined. Early registration fees will remain in effect throughout the season for the Ardmore Ave Pool and season lengths may be adjusted based on opening date. Registration will be open to Lower Merion Residents, as well as Non Residents. Please note, when the pool does open, the complex will be adjacent to an active construction site.

Membership applications to Belmont Hills swimming pool will be accepted on-line, in person and via mail. 

Early Registration for the Belmont Hills Pool will begin March 9, 2026. 

Registration will be open to both residents and non residents.

Fees will increase after April 30. No Exceptions.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU JOIN

  • The Family Membership fee is for a FAMILY OF THREE (3) in the same household...please note on the fee schedule the cost for additional members. 
  • All persons using the swimming pools MUST be fully potty-trained.
  • All infants, toddlers or small children, five (5) years of age and under who are not potty-trained may only use the Wading pool and are required to wear non-disposable elasticized swim diapers that fit snugly around the legs and waist.
  • Children thirteen (13) years of age and under must be accompanied by a person at least 18 years of age who must accept responsibility for the safety and conduct of the child.
  • The Belmont Hills Intermediate Pool will operate with an Adult Only Swim from Open until 4:00pm, daily (Children may continue to swim laps).
  • Floatation devices are limited to Coast Guard Approved puddle jumpers, life vests, or life jackets, only.
  • No balls, water toys or inflatable devices are permitted in the pool area unless authorized by a lifeguard.
  • No glass bottles or containers of any kind are permitted in the pool area.
  • The Belmont Hills Intermediate Pool will have a minimum of three (3) lanes dedicated for lap swimming at all times. In the event of pool closures, the lap lanes may be reduced or eliminated based on the number of people in the facility. 

HOW TO APPLY
  • On-Line. Visit www.lowermerionrec.com to apply. If you had a pool membership in the past, an account has been created for you. If you are having difficulty logging in, please call our office for assistance. DO NOT CREATE A DUPLICATE ACCOUNT.
  • Via Mail. All necessary paperwork and payment can be submitted via US mail. Please reference Membership Application Materials for all required documents.
  • In Person. All necessary paperwork and payment can be submitted in person to the Parks and Recreation Office. Please note if choosing to pay with a credit card, fees apply in office as well.

 

APPLICATION PROCEDURES 

Completed applications must include the following 

 

Proof of Identification/Residency

Lower Merion residents must show proof of identification/residency.   Clearly legible photocopies are acceptable. 

  • Proof of residency for any new individuals on your application or added to your household is required. (Ex: If one of your children will be 2 years of age by June 1, 2026.)
  • If you have moved, married, divorced or otherwise changed the status of your application, be sure to note it on your application. Residency verification will be required.
  • Those residents wishing to apply on-line can email required proof of residency documents to recreation@lowermerion.org. Please not, our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:15am - 4:30pm.  Any new accounts created outside of normal business hours will not be confirmed until the next business day, once proof of residency is submitted.
  • If you are a Lower Merion Township resident, DO NOT complete a pool registration until proof of residency has been confirmed.  Non Resident rates will not be refunded.

 Membership Application (In Person or Via Mail)

The pool membership application can be used to apply for a membership.

  • Indicate which membership type you are applying for in 2026.
  • List the names, date of birth, scan-able card status, and relationship of all persons applying for the membership.
  • Complete home address, email address, telephone numbers.
  • Be sure to sign and date the application.
  • Print carefully. If your handwriting is illegible, it will delay processing your application.

 On-Line Registration

      When applying on-line please follow these instructions carefully.

  • Visit www.lowermerionrec.com to log in or create an account.
  • If you were a pool member in the past (2014 – present), an account has been created. Please do not duplicate accounts. If you cannot remember your log-in information, please contact our office.
  • If you are creating a new account, please note, residency status will automatically be listed as non resident until proof of residency, for all members in the account, can be confirmed.  Please see Proof of Identification/Residency on how to submit.
  • Once you have logged into your account or account is created, please add/confirm all family members correct information.
  • Under Register, please select Memberships.  Choose which pool you would like to join.(If you are joining both pools, you will have to choose one at a time).
  • Choose Membership Type. When selecting a Family of 3 Membership, please be sure to choose three (3) family members (max 2 adults).
  • Follow prompts to complete membership.
  • If you are a Lower Merion Township resident, DO NOT complete a pool registration until proof of residency is confirmed.  Non Resident rates will not be refunded.
  • If you need assistance, please call our office.

 Affidavit for Day Care Provider, if applicable.

  • The Nanny/Au Pair/Babysitter Declaration must be completed with individual’s name and dates of employment. These memberships are non-transferable.

MEMBER APPLICATION FAQs

  1. I have not been a member of the pool in the past, what do I do?

    Complete the application and submit the proper fees along with proof of residency if you are a Lower Merion Resident.  Non Residents do not need to submit proof of residency.

  2. I was a member in the past but cannot find my Scan-able membership card, what do I do?

    On your application indicate that you were a previous member and that your membership card has been lost.  Then include an additional $10 for each replacement card.

  3. I am adding my child who will be 2 years of age as of June 1, 2026 or I have married or otherwise expanded my family, adding people to my membership application. What do I do?

    When you add someone to your membership who was not on your prior year’s membership you must include a copy of one of the acceptable proofs of ID/Residency included in this packet.  Please note Adult & Children requirements are different.

  4. Is financial assistance available?

    Financial assistance is available to Lower Merion residents only who meet certain income eligibility guidelines. The process is confidential and will take 48 - 72 hours to process.  Contact the Department of Parks & Recreation to learn more.

Payment must be made in full before your membership will be activated

  • Cash, Checks, Money Orders, Visa, Master Card, Discover & American Express are accepted.
  • Please make checks payable to: Treasurer, Lower Merion Township.
  • On-line payments made with a check are charged a flat fee of $2.50.
  • All Visa, Master Card, Discover & American Express payments are charged  a fee of 2.99% of the total cost with a minimum of $2.50 (in office and on-line).

To qualify for the early registration period, your application must be postmarked by the deadlines provided on the Fee and Membership Options Schedule.
