Harriton Preserve Final Master Plan

Harriton Preserve Final Map Overview

The Preserve at Harriton is the parcel within Harriton Park adjacent to Harriton and Old Gulph Roads, containing the woods and the stream.  It is called the “Preserve” because the intent is to maintain the parcel as a natural area with passive recreational pursuits, in tandem with Lower Merion’s long-term open space efforts and vision.

What is a Park Master Plan:

Park Master Plans allow the Township to assess current and future needs of a Park to best serve the public, evaluate feasible options, develop a strategic action plan, and budget for long-term or phased-in improvements. The plan provides a comprehensive vision the community has for a park and its place in the overall park system.

The Master Plan Document is developed by the Township through a process which includes the creation of a steering committee, meetings with stakeholder groups, engagement tools, and public presentations.

The open area, called the Meadow, and the residential parcels are not part of this Master Plan study.
