The Township of Lower Merion receives an annual allocation of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, which assists the low and moderate-income residents of the Township.

The Planning and Community Development Department maintains a list of qualified consultants, general and some trade contractors for participation in this program. All individual projects are competitively bid by sealed bid or an RFP process.

All CDBG procurement follows all federal requirements as well as the Township's written policies and procedures. The Township affirmatively encourages MBE, WBE and Section 3 businesses to participate in CDBG-funded activities.
