Ardmore Station Transit-Oriented Development Opportunity

Lower Merion Township and Amtrak are collaborating to advance a major Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) project at Ardmore Station. This effort aims to deliver new public parking and commercial buildings that will support the Ardmore community and increase passenger rail and transit ridership.

As part of this collaboration, property owned by the Township and Amtrak near Ardmore Station will be marketed in a single commercial offering to select a Master Developer capable of acquiring, assembling, entitling, financing, constructing, operating, and maintaining the project. The development scope could include up to 500 public parking spaces, as previously planned by the Township, as well as commercial uses, such as multifamily residential, office, or hotel.

Amtrak will lead the developer selection process, in collaboration with the Township and SEPTA, by issuing a Commercial Offering Memorandum to qualified developers and brokers active in the Greater Philadelphia Metro Region. Proposals are requested by January 15, 2026. Interested bidders are encouraged to request a copy of the offering and learn more about this unique opportunity.
