The Township continually reviews its practices looking for efficiencies and budget saving opportunities, while still providing the same service levels that our residents have come to expect. A review of the current bi-weekly recycling program was found to be a prime candidate for change that would offer both short term and long-term financial savings to the Township and its residents.

Plans are under way to implement the new recycling program services beginning the week of July 20, 2020. As previously announced, recycling will no longer only be provided every other week, rather a type of recycling will be provided every week consisting of either paper or comingled recycling materials. Beginning the week of July 20, every resident in the Township will recycle comingled materials such as metal cans, glass and aluminum. The next week every resident in the Township will recycle paper and cardboard products. This will then continue to alternate week by week. This is an efficiency change that will save the Township money.

The Township will continue to communicate these changes to the recycling collection program using multiple communication methods between now and the week of July 20 so residents are prepared when this updated recycling collection program begins.
