Construction Affecting Anderson Ave., Sub. Square Through Summer
Starting Monday, June 3rd, 2019, traffic flow in and around Suburban Square in Ardmore will be affected throughout the summer for intersection, road, and sidewalk work. The construction project will take up to 12 weeks to complete. It will consist of raised intersections, utility upgrades and other improvements related to new construction currently underway by Suburban Square owner Kimco Realty.
The work includes a raised intersection and crosswalk at Anderson and Coulter avenues. The temporary impact will be:
- One-way traffic northbound only on Anderson Avenue, from Station Avenue to Montgomery Avenue
- Closed access to the West Parking Lot (or “Ruby’s Lot”) from Anderson Avenue for half of the project’s length (Montgomery Avenue entrance will remain open)
- Alternating sidewalk impacts along Anderson Avenue during the course of the project
In addition, SEPTA bus route 44 will be affected by the closure of Anderson Avenue southbound from Montgomery Avenue—the route will change to the Glenn Road connector through the shopping center (adjacent to the public parking garage and Urban Outfitters).
