1. 2019-R-29 – 75 St. James Place, Ardmore – Suburban Square – Class 2

Application to install halo-lit letter signage at the top of two limestone facades of the former Best & Co. store at the corner of Anderson and Montgomery Avenues.


2. 2019-SD-27 – 930 Stoke Road, Villanova – Class 2

Application to subdivide and adjust lot lines of this property and adjacent lots. No changes to the historic resource are proposed, and as such the applicant seeks a waiver of the Historic Resource Impact Study requirement.


3. 2019-R-28 – 6/18 Lancaster Avenue, Wynnewood – The Palmer – Class 2

Application to make alterations to the site and building to improve drainage. Work will involve widening an existing under-grade areaway, creating a new retaining wall below grade with a railing at ground level. On the building façade below grade, several double and single windows will be replaced with double and single doors matching existing materials and designs and retaining existing opening widths, brickwork and details.


4. 2019-LD-9 – 1344 West Montgomery Avenue, Bryn Mawr – Holy Child School at Rosemont – Class 2; 1320 West Montgomery Avenue – Class 2; 1309 Wendover Avenue – Class 2

The school intends to expand its campus by consolidating adjoining properties and demolish two Class 2 historic resources: 1320 West Montgomery Avenue and 1309 Wendover Avenue. The applicant has revised their site plan since their last appearance in April to retain 1301 Wendover Avenue, a non-designated home built in the 1880s.
