Amenities: Two (2) mile recreational multi-use trail and open space running from Cynwyd Station to the Manayunk Viaduct and on to Belmont Avenue along an unused portion of Septa’s R-6 tracks. Trail corridor is comprised of separated paved and soft surface trails.  Dogs permitted, but must be kept on a leash, no longer than 8 feet, at all times.

Trailhead Locations:

Cynwyd Station Park Trailhead: 321 Conshohocken State Road, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004

Bala Cynwyd Park Trailhead: 398 Trevor Lane, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004

Barmouth Trailhead: 175 East Levering Mill Road, Bala Cynwyd PA 19004

Directions: (from Lower Merion Public Safety & Township Administration Building)

To Cynwyd Station Trailhead:

  • East on Lancaster Avenue to Church Road
  • Turn left onto Church Road to Montgomery Avenue
  • Turn right onto Montgomery Avenue to Conshohocken State Road
  • Turn left onto Conshohocken State Road
  • Park will be on the right

To Bala Cynwyd Park Trailhead:

  • East on Lancaster Avenue to City Avenue
  • Turn left onto City Avenue to Belmont Avenue
  • Turn left onto Belmont Avenue
  • Turn left onto Llandrillo Road
  • Park will be on the right

  • East on Lancaster Avenue to Church Road
  • Turn left onto Church Road to Montgomery Avenue
  • Turn right onto Montgomery Avenue to Meeting House Lane
  • Bear left onto Meeting House Lane to Levering Mill Road
  • Continue straight onto Levering Mill Road
  • Continue to dead end at Barmouth Trailhead
