Project Description

This project continues to stabilize the banks of the east branch of the Indian Creek that runs the length of Shortridge Memorial Park.

Background

Shortridge Memorial Park is an 11-acre linear park located in Wynnewood. The east branch of the Indian Creek runs through the park. The stream suffers from erosion and non-point source pollution, the result of excessive sedimentation from stormwater run-off and a series of storm sewer drains that drain directly into the creek.

The project scope includes restoring the streambank using a combination of natural channeling, and armoring the banks and planting a buffer of native plants.  The third and final phase of this project will be completed as funds become available.
