Flat Rock Park is one of the Township’s best kept secrets. Located on the Schuylkill River in Gladwyne, the 24.3 acre park is beautiful yet underutilized. The Township is completing a series of projects that it expects will draw residents to the park and to the river, which, true to its name, is a “hidden river.”

Flat Rock Park is a 24-acre linear park located along the banks of the Schuylkill River in Gladwyne. It is considered to be a hidden gem. The first two phases of the park’s development involved building a walking path, landscaping, expanding the parking lot and improving the park’s boat launch.

The final phase will incorporate a currently undeveloped parcel of land into the park. The preliminary project scope includes, continuing the walking path, providing parking and building a picnic pavilion that overlooks the Flat Rock Dam and the Schuylkill River. (As funding becomes available)
