Comprehensive Update to the Zoning Code & Subdivision Regulations

Print

In January 2016 the Lower Merion Township Board of Commissioners adopted the Comprehensive Plan for the Preservation, Infill and Redevelopment of Lower Merion Township. The Comprehensive Plan is a capstone of an extensive, multi-year public planning and visioning process. The Comprehensive Plan includes numerous programs, projects and policy recommendations for realizing the community vision.

Many of the recommendations address regulatory controls to ensure that new development, redevelopment and modernization is consistent with the desired community character.

This webpage serves as the clearing house for the Comprehensive Update to the Lower Merion Zoning Code and Subdivision Regulations. The Township is currently seeking proposals from qualified consultants and teams of consultants to update Lower Merion’s Zoning Code and Subdivision Regulations to be consistent with the recently adopted Comprehensive Plan. This page will be updated regularly and will contain links to the Request for Proposals, project schedule, contact information and relevant background data.
