Dear Off-Leash Dog Permit Applicant,

Beginning January, 2010 Lower Merion Township ($25) and Narberth Borough residents ($30) may apply for 2010 Off-Leash Dog Permit(s) to walk or exercise their dog(s) off-leash in designated areas in Rolling Hill Park and West Mill Creek Park. 

PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION

YOUR APPLICATION PACKET INCLUDES:

  • Off-Leash Dog Areas Pilot Program description, including the goal, description, rules and evaluation tools for the pilot program.
  • Off-Leash Dog Permit Application.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO HAVE BEFORE YOU PURCHASE YOUR PERMIT:

  • In order to receive a permit, residents must provide proof that their dog(s) is up to date on all shots, (DHLPP (Distemper), Bordetella (kennel cough) and Rabies vaccinations and keep them current for the duration of the permit. A letter from your veterinarian stating your dog is unable to receive these vaccinations may substitute for proof of shots.
  • Residents must attest that they have Homeowner’s or Renter’s Insurance and keep it current for the duration of the permit.
  • New applicants must provide a current photo of each dog with the application.
  • Current year Montgomery County Dog License Number is required.
  • A valid email address is encouraged as we will use email to distribute information regarding the program and to elicit feedback.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:
All applications must include the following:

• Completed, legible application, signed waiver and acknowledgment and proof of vaccinations.   (Print carefully - if your handwriting is illegible, it will delay processing your application.)

• Payment must be made in full - checks are payable to: Treasurer, Lower Merion Township

• Application can be completed in person during regular operating hours in the Department of Parks & Recreation or the Police Department.   (8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mon - Fri)

• Application may be mailed to: Township of Lower Merion, Department of Parks & Recreation, 75 E. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore, PA 19003

Once your application is completed you will receive your permit to identify you and your dog as program participants.
