On June 24, 2008 the Lower Merion Township Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) hosted a public forum on the important role of preservation areas in the Township.  

EAC Chair John Gullace, Vice-Chair Barry Jeffries, Senior Planner for Lower Merion Township, Andrea Campisi and Lower Merion Conservancy Conservation Coordinator, Patty Thompson spoke on preservation area maintenance, encroachment and restoring preservation area boundaries and the important responsibility home owners and home owner associations have with regard to preservation areas.
