Transfer Station, Special Collection Fees to Increase in 2018

Post Date:12/14/2017 5:00 PM

On January 1, 2018, Lower Merion Township will implement fee increases for special collections, and for refuse and brush disposed of at the Township Transfer Station. The increases are to ensure the Township’s fees are accurately covering the cost of providing these services.

Pick-up: A special collection fee of $25 for one large appliance (such as a refrigerator, air conditioner, or stove, etc.) will remain unchanged. The fee for collecting three such items, however, will increase from $15 to $30.

Drop-off: The fee for all refuse, leaves and brush, etc., disposed of at the Township’s Transfer Station (the Koegel Public Works Complex), at 1300 N. Woodbine Avenue in Penn Valley, will increase from 4 cents per pound to 10 cents per pound.
